A well-established insurance building and restoration company is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join its delivery team.
This role oversees the delivery of insurance repair, make-safe, and reinstatement works across residential and commercial properties.
You will manage multiple active sites, coordinate trades, and act as the main point of contact between clients, insurance assessors, subcontractors, and project management to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations across insurance repair and restoration projects
- Manage multiple concurrent sites in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure timely project delivery
- Ensure all works align with insurer scopes, compliance requirements, and quality standards
- Oversee make-safe works, emergency response, and reinstatement projects
- Maintain strict WHS compliance across all sites
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout all stages of works
- Liaise with insurance builders, loss adjusters, assessors, clients, and consultants
- Identify, document, and escalate variations, scope changes, and delays
- Coordinate materials, access, and site logistics
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor
- Strong understanding of building methodologies, sequencing, and defect rectification works
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously in a reactive environment
- Experience working with insurers, assessors, or claims-based workflows highly regarded
- Strong WHS knowledge and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction and repair scopes/plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Qualifications
- Trade background (Carpentry or similar) highly regarded
- QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (or equivalent state licence) preferred
- Diploma in Building & Construction or similar advantageous
- Relevant on-site supervisory experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
